Dessert Facts: That you probably didn’t know!

Desserts are everyone’s favorites and without them food is incomplete. Every country has their different flavors of desserts and their specialties.

No matter what sort of dessert! Whether a piece of cake, pie, or a delicious cupcake. It brings a wide smile on our face.

So today we are going to tell you some astonishing facts about desserts that we researched about. Some of you might be aware and some of you might not be. So for those who aren’t read through this whole article, and you surely will be amazed.

The word “dessert” originated from the french word “desservir”, meaning “to clear the table”.

Dessert is a course that concludes a meal. The course usually consists of sweet foods and beverages, but may also include coffee, cheeses, nuts, or other savory items. In some parts of the world there is no tradition of dessert to conclude a meal.

Some historians credit Marco Polo with being the first one to bring some type of ice cream to Europe. He had learned it from the Chinese, who had flavored snow with rice and milk to make a creamy dessert

Which Came First: Chocolate or Vanilla?
